Military Families
Working within the community is an integral part of our core purpose. The Children’s Centre works closely with the Army’s welfare team at Kendrew Barracks and St Georges Barracks to provide support to families who are posted to Rutland.
We offer "Grow Together" sessions (Stay and Play) for parent/carers and their children aged 0-3 years. These sessions are held at St Georges Barracks on Wednesdays 10.00-11.00 and at Kendrew Barracks on Fridays 10.00-11.00, why not drop in.
“I’m about three hours away from my family so it’s also great for me and other parents to be able to meet and talk. My youngest isn’t at nursery yet so it’s really good for them to have somewhere where they can interact with other children and learn to share and get more confident.”

Councilor David Wilby, cabinet member for early years, said: “Visions Children’s Centre is a fantastic resource that provides invaluable service and support for local families, including those based at Kendrew Barracks and St George’s Barracks.”
